A Dangerous New Life Form
Micro-fiction about the perils of exploring alien worlds.

The space explorers came across a new life form,
and after checking it with all of their instruments,
they determined the alien creature was dead.
They transported it back to their ship and began
their long journey home.
They didn’t get very far before the creature woke
up and started attacking them viciously.
The crew members fought back but inevitably it
ate them all. One by one.
